OK Kevin, have you actually tried adding the extra account?
Go to the cog wheel top right of the page when you have your Outlook.com page open and click options.
On the next page you have several options for getting additional accounts on board.
Click on the title "Your email Accounts"then on the following page you can adda send recieve account.
There's also another way of adding another/extra account.
On the page under Manage your accounts, this time click import email accounts.
Try the different methods to see if the account gets set up properly to use.
