Hi Kirsten4,
There are attachment and size limitations when using a mail client such as Outlook 2016.
-
When using a mail client such as Outlook 2016 the size of an individual email (including attachments) cannot exceed 15MB.
- The total size of file attachments should not exceed 10MB. This is because the header and encoding information can be up to 5MB for a 10MB attachment.
- Because this is a large file/attachment is it probably getting 'stuck' on the receivers end. The connection may be timing out before the server marks the email as complete and so their mail client will continue to think this is a new email and try to download it. Once they are sure they have the complete file, they will need to log onto their web mail portal and delete it there.
Hope this helps.
Ben
