IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE MAY BE USING YOUR ACCOUNT? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I have a Bigpond email Outlook account that was migrated to Microsoft.

I cannot access my account either from my laptop through Outlook (where I have been accessing it from for the last 4 years) as the pop3 account login pop-up keeps coming up asking me to enter my password.  This does not normally happen.  When I tried to enter my password it said there is a send/receive error.

I can't access through Webmail directly either.  It says "it looks like someone has has been using my account".  The recovery email address on the system is an old one from 10 years ago and I no longer work there so I can't recover my account that way.  So I checked the option for "can't verify" and entered a new email to verify but then a Microsoft error comes up saying to contact Telstra directly.

I called Telstra and they reset my password - no help.

They told me it was the result of logging on from multiple devices.  I am not logged on to multiple devices.

Then they said it wasn't their problem - it was a Microsoft problem.  I said but I am your customer not a Microsoft customer -  but they told me they couldn't help me.

I called Microsoft and they said it is a Telstra problem and they can't help me.

I called Telstra back and they said someone will get back to me - I am now stuck with no email since Thursday.  I use this email for some important stuff that I can't just wait for "someone to get back to me".

It's really appalling customer service on a basic level that no one can reset my account but even worse that no one will take responsibility for the issue.  I pay my bills to Telstra so I think they should take responsibility for me as their customer.  I am in the meantime, without email, have no idea why it has stopped working and no clue as to who is going to fix it.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so, can you help me?

Thanks very much.
