Telstra does not have to try at all to vex its loyal paying customers, in the DNA. In my case, spent the last two weeks preparing for the conversion by being proactive and premptive, even with CS helps of sorts, albeit dragged kicking and screaming. Due for conversion overnight but received the customary curt and officious email upon login this morning. Of course no explanation, nothing like that, like it or lump it.
We've changed the date for your move to our new Telstra MailTM service.
Your move will now take place within 48 hours from approximately 12.00am AEST on July 29 2016. We'll email you when the move is complete.
You can use your email as usual during this time. You may experience a slight delay in sending and receiving emails however you will still receive your emails, and emails you send will be delivered. You may also be required to log back in to access your email. Once you receive your confirmation email, you can then start using Telstra Mail.
Bottom line, all my preparations, especially email back up and the like, out of date, overtaken by Telstra's ongoing incompetence only matched by its dinosaur type comminications, if you can call it that.
