Re: Setting up bigpond email using Outlook 2013

Your link takes me to a page that confirms my email has not been updated to Outlook.com.

The email settings provided underneath the confirmation above, have all been entered many times before, but went through and double checked.

 

Using Outlook 2013, everytime I click on "next", it displays to enter the password which has been already filled-in.

I re-enter the password, ticked the remember details, then next, but it continuously pops up.

 

After a few more times it FAILS to logon.

After many more clicks, it FAILS the send test message too.

 

"Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in account settings."

 

All details are correct. There is nothing wrong with my username and password.

This was confirmed by logging in to webmail via the telstra home page, as well as when logging in to My Account.

 

Why is it so difficult to get this working, when Windows and Outlook are common software that are standard on most computers?
