I went into a remote cafe in New Zealand. They had an Acer tablet there with whicjh I was supposed to be able to access my emails. So I opened bigpond.com, selected webmail and entered my email and password, as I would anytime. Browser was google chrome, same as I always use. Ended up on outlook.com looking at my inbox. All as expected so far. Made sure I clicked "never" when chrome asked if I wanted to store my details.
Went to open an email by clicking on it, nothing happened. Tried to log out by clicking on my email address in the top right corner and selecting log out as usual. Dropdown menu would not appear. Staff couldn't help me. Ended up closing the browser, but was able to get back to my inbox by simply restarting the browser and finding the page in the address bar.
I had to go, so I closed the browser, reopened it and used the "clear browsing data" function to clear the history so that no one else could open my inbox by simply finding the page in the history. I've since logged in and then logged out using my laptop. Have I done enough to make sure no one else can play with my emails? Is there a time out function?
