No matter what email client you're using, you will have to re-add the account as IMAP. No email client that I'm aware of will let you convert an existing account from one to the other

Hi Bazza, you would need to be a Telstra broadband customer to recive a Bigpond email address, and that address would be associated with your Telstra account.
