Old Emails being resent and then Cant delete from my webmail account - Keep getting technical error

I am looking for some assistance here.

 

I am getting old emails (Last Year) being resent to my Bigpond account - Creating thousands of unread emails etc.

Also 4 Voicemails - which looks like spam that I cant delete.

 

Ive had to turn off my connection to my ipad and iphone because it was clogging up.

 

I have been trying to fix via my Webmail Account - I use a Apple Mac - with no luck at all.

I try to delete emails which I can only do 25 at a time - it keeps giving me a technical error - I cant even delete a page or 1 email.

 

This is extremeley frustrating and was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me please.

When ever I select all emails or more the 10 at a time and try and delete it freezes and sends me to the 'technical difficulty' page or 'site down' and am now not even receiving emails because I have to many

Using the instructions I managed to set it up by adding a new account against gmail. All good. Thanks.

I also cannot delete emails from Webmail. Have tried Chrome & IE..  

 

Try webmail.bigpond.com/webedge/  and select https://webmail.bigpond.com/webedge/do/mail/folder/view

 

 

Apparently Bigpond are migrating to a faster system but they dont feel the need to tell customers.in advance of this new server login address.

so now that the old login does not work can some one please tell me how to delete the hundreds of unwanted emails?????

Subfolders missing in new Telstra Mail

I have been moved to the new Telstra mail as one of the trial members. I have lots of folders and subfolders in my inbox and my subfolders have disappeared or are empty, depending on how I try to access them.

 

In Outlook 2016 on my surface the folders and messages are all there. 

 

When I try to access the folders via web browser (google chrome) I can only see the top level of folders, If I try to add a subfolder with the same name as an existing subfolder I get a message to say it already exists.

I can add a new subfoder and then the top level folder expands but the original sub folders stil are not showing

 

I have also tried in other browsers - internet explorer will not open telstra mail at all (even though I have the most recent verstion of IE 11 I get taken to the upgrade your browser page)

Microsoft Edge does seem to show all the folders properly.

When I try to hook up my bigpond.net.au email address to my ipad, it won't check for mail as it says my username or password is incorrect. I know I have entered them both correctly into settings, and made sure I used upper and lower case correctly, so I cant understand why I keep getting this message ?  Please help, its driving me crazy Ive reentered it so many times to see if I can get it to accept it !

I am trying to sync BigPond.net.au account with all devices. I use windows live for computer, & have iPad & iPhone I receive on all but when delete on one only updates on device.

Hi carbill, 

 

Thanks for sharing this. Being a trial member you should have been given details on where to submit your feedback and possible issues with the new mail. This would go directly to the team who look into changes being fixed. 

 

Was there any details given to you about the trial when joining and a possible email or contact area?

 

If not we can get this passed on but it's normally better to deal directly with the people handling the trial and the users in case a follow up is needed.  


Webmail - Technical Failure

Monday 9. May 2016

To bulk-delete large numbers of junk mail, and to avoid the "Technical Failure" response in my webmail, I was told to go to the old login (See below). The page comes up ok, with the  ID and Password request. But there is no provision to recover forgotten PW or ID!! How do I get into it?  I want to  be able to delete  200 items at a time when in the old login.

Showing me a way of bulk-deleting emails, without this tech error coming up, would of course be the best solution. I have Windows 10 O/S. Help from someone who REALLY knows the answer would be greatly appreciated. https://webmail.bigpond.com/webedge/do/dologin

If it is one of the older POP accounts you aren't able to "sync" them. Trying logging into webmail and seeing what it says on the top of the page (e.g outlook, myconnect, etc)

Hello carbill

 

On the issue of folders, can I request to contact support on the number provided in Welcome to Telstra Mail. 

 

On issue of IE11, it looks like you may have compatibility mode on, on IE11 for telstra.com sites. Can you turn off compatibility mode or try a different browser. Support team should be able to provide more information on this as well.

Followed up with Tech support today via the Live Chat link you sent me and has now been resolved.

Appears they did a check on my account and refreshed it for me  - which presumably took the latest browser settings (which had the forwarding email address removed) and overwrote the existing internal settings.
