Bigpond Email Address

For 16 years I have had a @bigpond.com email address. Back then I discontinued an internet service and telstra offered the email address as a free of charge service. It resided in Telstra's "old system".

 

A few days ago the address stopped working. Got someone to transfer the address to the new system and into my current Broadband account but it appeared as @telstra.com ! And does not work and now neither does my primary Broadband email either.

 

After a new 3 hour session between  consultants on web chat they phoned me. Continued to fail in fixing and eventually passed me onto a random consultant who I spent another hour failing to fix. This consultant has had me on hold for past half hour. long enough for me to type this message wuith one finger. Phone in other hand.

 

I started on web chat at 9:00 this morning. After several consultant they phoned me. It's now nearly 2:00pm and the promise of a fix is still on hold. I live alone, so one day someone will find my skeleton still holding my phone and still playing on-hold music ! Hmmm... I think that may be their tactic. Pass you around departments and keep you on hold so long you will give up. 

 

After 40 minutes Tech support now want to transfer me back to billing to get my inactive email activated. This may be the third or fourth time I've spoken to billing today. Lets hope... 

 

They win. Another spell on hold. End Call. Smiley Sad
