Hello TonyM2,

You just need to configure two accounts within your Outlook client (eg Outlook 2010), one pointing to Outlook.com, the other pointing to Telstra.com.

Configure the Outlook.com account within Outlook 2010 to use Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector (just like you were running before this all started). In Outlook 2010: Add New account/update account - [choice 3] Manually configure server settings or additional server types - [choice 4] Other server type Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector; provide name; email address and password

Configure the Telstra.com account within Outlook 2010 to use e-mail account standard settings. In Outlook 2010: Add New account - [choice 1] E-mail account, provide name; email address and password, and it should autoconfigure.

You will then have two accounts showing within Outlook 2010. The Telstra.com account will show both historical and new emails, but no contacts or calendar. The Outlook.com will show historical emails as well as live contacts and calendar. You may want to physically delete the historical emails off Outlook.com, because you have them as well on Telstra.com and it is confusing to the user to have the same data appearing twice.

Works for me quite nicely.

Additionally, I have configured my iPhone and iPad to pick up email, contacts and calendar. The key is to remember where the live data is now and configure your desktop client/iDevice accordingly.
