Re: Huge increae in spam recently

My bigpond address hasn't received any spam for a very long time. I don't use that email address for any communications other than with telstra.

My primary email address (domain name that I own and have hosted elsewhere) which I use in general communications, plus for Linkedin/Facebook/etc, has been seeing a large increase in spam since August this year.

The spammers will either get your email address purely by luck (random address .com) or by picking it up as an active address based upon it appearing either on a Social Media type site or by an infected computer/system (ie your personal/business contacts computers/systems).
