i agrree , telstra should be improoving their e-mail service , even after 2 years now the same issues remains , slow deleting e-mails , what gives?

thanks for responding to my cry of desperation. I will try to find out how to "clear the browser cache" - will seek family support. However I still feel that the new service is poor and I do think that it is misleading to tell me telstra is giving me a better service than before when it is patently obvious that the service has regressed in being user friendly.

Hello, I have been getting at least 10 undelivered email notices /messages daily returned to me. Happening over the last few weeks.  Trouble is that I never sent any of them.  They are all italian addresses (nothing to do with me to addresses not at all known to me).  How has this happened, and how do I stop this?  Any ideas?

Unable to send emails from MYOB

Since the change to the new Telstra email in mid August I can't send email statements from my MYOB Accountsright to customers via my email, they used to send before - any solutions?

I get this message when accessing Telstra webmail. No problems sending or receiving via Outlook. Tried Firefox, IE and Chrome - all give the same message. Have contacted Telstra support but without any success to date. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I'll second that emotion.

Telstra Mail is like a secondary (I was inclined to say, primary, but being kind...) school project still stuck in the last century.

 

I can empathise with the support team having to address issues (not of their making) with the clunky design since year zero.

It's not even clear whether this is an inhouse or third-party product.

Telstra should focus on its core competencies and not try to be all things to all people - doesn't work!

 

How about we all turn up at the Retail Shareholders Briefings being held this week and give the executive team a piece of our minds?

There are many many thousands of customers effected by this telstra screw-up. How many of these people have lost money because of this so called new telstra mail Fail. If you have to compromise privacy for telstra mail to work, so much for there privacy statement. I don't trust telstra to keep my privacy at all the traitors.

There are many many thousands of customers effected by this telstra screw-up. How many of these people have lost money because of this so called new telstra mail Fail. If you have to compromise privacy for telstra mail to work, so much for there privacy statement. I don't trust telstra to keep my privacy at all the traitors. I pay a $107 a month in advance for this telstra mail screw-up. We should all be asking for compensation. For me that has been since the migration about two months ago and still no working email. Fraud is when you pay for a product and you do not receive that product.

Still not able to access using FireFox latest version, with all blocked turned off.

Just gets the the screen with three dots and fails. I do believ e it is the security header and the way it hands off to the mail screen.

Hi ,

Sorry to hear about your recent frustrations. Could you please confirm if you are attempting to view the Inbox via. Webmail or via. a Third party email client? (Outlook, Mobile web mail app etc.)

Sorry Yastiandrie, you're wrong... Telstra partnered with Microsoft and offered bigpond email addresses to be integrated with Microsoft Live Accounts, this was about a year ago. With this, your .com email address would be integrated with Microsoft Services, therefore you could sync your email accross multiple devices instead of using microsoft POP3 which is crap.

 

This problem is impacting upon Tesltra customers that swithced their email over to Microsoft Live arrangement.

 

I'm working on a Tesltra customers laptop at the moment... sending emails ok... just cant receive... logging into telstra's email web portal is not a solution, it is a work around and isn't convenient. Come back when you have a solution please.

Telstra partnered with Microsoft in 2013 and was going to move all bigpond accounts over to outlook.com. That deal fell through so then only newly created email accounts were using that platform.

Telstra mail is telstra's own email platform and they are migrating over time all the email accounts using the old bigpond platform, and outlook.com platform. Accounts that were using the outlook.com platform and have migrated to Telstra mail will no longer get any new emails appearing in their account using outlook.com webmail, or using live.com or outlook.com server settings in their client. Migrated customers will either need to use Telstra's webmail, or setup the account with the Telstra Mail settings in aclient. Accounts migrated from Microsoft's platform to Telstra mail can also no longer be setup as Exchange Activesync as that is a Microsoft proprietary product
