Outlook delivering 2 copies of emails due to duplication of email in Account Settings

Having followed the instructions on the Telstra Support page, I have set up a duplicate email address in Account Settings.  As a result, I now receive 2 duplicate emails for every email received.

Can I delete one of email addresses without losing my Outlook Mail Folders?

I was having the same problem - from the moment I received the email from Telstra informing me of the successful move to the new system, I received no emails.  I could send emails, not receive.

Having spent over an hour on the phone with a person from Telstra Support, he discovered that the new system had automatically selected/enabled  auto-forward with no destination ("Settings" "Mail" "Auto-Forward").

Having unchecked the box, emails have started arriving in the Webmail and Outlook Inboxes.  

Unfortunately, any email sent between the notification and the resolving of the problem, has been lost.

If each email is being received 4 times in webmail as well then there is possibly a forwarding rule looping which you can check under settings. You will probably have different timestamps if this is happening. 

If they are identical then I would suggest contacting technical support on 133933 or Live Chat http://tel.st/gq6m

I can log in but the ADDRESS BOOK tab gives me

"There was a problem processing your last request. Please try again later."

error. I also get this on the MY MAILBOX tab.

I have the same issue. It will not show content or attachments when I go to Telstra Mail. When I open Outlook and receive mail it all looks fine.

We are aware of an issue with customers viewing some pdf where they get a transcode error. While this issue is being addressed, we suggest customers manage their emails using an email program such as Outlook or Thunderbird.

Have you contacted Tech Support so that they can raise a ticket for this issue? 

 

If you go into Settings then Contacts within webmail, is the option to auto complete email addresses ticked? 

 

Have you tried sending and receiving through an email program or app instead of using webmail?

Yeah issue appears to be resolved now.

This is not about techincal problems, Its about a very porrly designed web mail. What we had before was fine. Stop trying to re-invent the world, you are wasting time, and making thousands for people frustrated. OR, if you are going to change, do it PROPERLY....

to combat this I have gone back to my old email server and workng perfectly Thunderbird. .  

Sorry Telstra but you are trying my patience.  Had problems with my WiFi internet connection and now this.

Hi All,

 

I have received an update advising that the server was restarted yesterday to try and address this issue.  Can I ask that you all try to send an email to see if you are still getting this error message. Please let me know if you are still affected by this error.

Don't know whether it can help in your situation but you can try using 3-rd party software called Akruto to sync your Android device with Outlook. Here's a link to their website: http://www.akruto.com/best-ways-to-sync-android-with-microsoft-outlook/

It can sync calendar and tasks without syncing email which, I guess, even better in your circumstances. But you can only sync desktop Outlook data with your smartphone by using this app.

Hi Oaklet,

 

I have raised this issue with our network team and I received an update that the server was restarted yesterday afternoon. Can you check your service and let me know if you continue to get this error when you try to send?

What ... this now IS a Telstra issue all of a sudden?? Finally your team might be starting to hear the collective voice .....

 

I just tried ... but, no change ... the same error is still appearing.  (Using the web interface for telstra mail).

 

 

Webmail won't load

We aren't able to login to the webmail it doesn't come up with anything.

 

We weren't part of the migration to the new system as they couldn't get it to work and said that they would be in touch.  This is linked to our business emails, can  you tell me when this will be back up and running.

 

I used the 24 Chat live but they couldn't help me and gave me a link to someone else which didn't work - twice.

 

Feeling very frustrated.

Can you provide some further information about the web browser that you are using to access webmail as well as the type of files/attachments that you are unable to view?

 

If you still have difficulties with viewing any of the emails, please try the solutions posted by these users and let me know how you go?
