Moving overseas for 12 months

We are long term ( over 25years) customers with Telstra and need some advice on how to manage our email and phones when we move to Vanuatu for 12months. We have got lots of advice from family and friends which has confused us even more. I have tried all day to access the Testra Chat line but I am constantly told it is not available.

 

 

We have a Bundle M with telstra which includes 2 mobiles, home phone internet.

The bundle expires 2017 June.

We have a bigpond email address.

One mobile was purchased in September 2015 is still under contract.

 and the other is an older one.

 

We want to keep our bigpond email address if possible. Can we do this and if so, how will this work ?

 

We want to retain our mobile phone numbers for when we visit  and eventually return to Australia but we intend to purchase local sim card whilst in Vanuatu. 

 

We want to have our home phone suspended or if necessary cut off.

 

Any advice on the above as to the most cost effective and workable way of achieving this.
