FORBIDDEN ERROR 403.
Hello, I am having trouble logging into my BigPond webmail from all devices. Every time I get a 403 forbidden error message Nd it is extremely frustrating. How can this be fixed?!

Telstra only gives away a single email address for free to it's broadband customers.
Any extra adresses are charged for, so the service is not complimentary for everyone.
Also, I feel like I pay a premium to be on Telstra Broadband, and in return I expect quality service, not what I am experiencing today.

I had trouble logging on yesterday - webmail logged me in and tried to load, but nothing happened. Now today the 403 Forbidden message shows up.
Not the first time either! Hopefully Telstra sort this out asap as like everybody else, I need to access my emails.
This really isn't good enough. Not much in the way of a reponse after it happened a month ago I see based on the earlier posts.

Interesting CM7 says "It used to be if I tried to send a couple of times eventually a message would send".
In the week leading up to inability to send I had the same as CM7. I would click to send and get the spam error but click OK and send again and it would eventually send (but confusingly also retain a copy in my drafts folder). Then a few days later it stopped sending altoghether and just displays the error message.

When will I get my email back
Lost my email on Monday 31 Oct when Telstra were having email server issues. I have spent hours on the phone with their (remote) tec dept and had several different versions of why my email address keeps being suspended. Now resorted to having an IT guy go through my PC to ensure that it is clean but now cannot retry due to this protracted outage by Telstra.
Interesting that there is nothing in themedia about it.

email spam - i am receiving so much spam mail on my Mac
I am considering paying for telstras platinum support to do a full scan on my Mac PC and to block the continous scam emails I am receiving - does anyone know if this service can actually solve this problem - the spam comes from different addresses, ranging from job offers to "you've won a competition", usually large Australian retail store logos
any advice greatfully received

Any lawyers out there that can set up a class action?
I repeat, a Telstra help desk manager finally admitted to me that their email server has failed (hacked? crashed?) and there is no eta of a fix.
It is not your equipment guys. Telstra is hiding the real problem because they know there will be a HUGE legal media sh** storm.

Tech Support has gone noticeably quiet on this board now too .....
Telstra really should post here confirming what they (eventually) told you, and their intended actions to fix.
An apology for blaming users wouldn't go astray either.
They should also be prevented from trying to sell platinum support to unsuspecting users.

I think Telstra currently have far too many technical problems with their mail system for Platinum Support to be of any benefit to you as a customer. Your money would likely be wasted.
I would suggest going to a reputable IT business/consultant for help if you want a system scan, adjustment to settings, addition of appropriate spam filters, etc.
