I find it frustrating that I have to forward all emails to my google account in order to be able to operate without spam, its been a shocker.Ever since Telstra moved me from outlook to the "not so better" Telstra mail, its back to the bad old days of Russian brides, **bleep** enhancement etc etc. Please Telstra, sort out the filtering, I got tired of constantly reporting the spam and it still coming. Best workaround? Forward all emails to gmail.....

I am getting an error message from mail.bigpond.com after sending my password.

 

'535 ...authentication rejected. Max Attempts

Webmail Error message 'Mail box needs repair'

Hi Paul
I would suggest trying to clear your browser cache and trying different web browsers first.If no luck with that then contact telstra tech support

Case manager advises recovery by 31st is still on while another message said 7th April.

Maybe that means the recovery period is rolled over a week or so.

With the secrecy & misinformation surrounding this email catastrophe telstra lost all credibility forever and as soon as a true alternative pops up I ma sure they'll lose millions of customers, just like Netflix did to Foxtel.

 

So they may have a plan for recovery or maybe not so I'll stick with mine: if emails are not back and staying there by the 31st time to lodge the formal complaint & no bills paid till they return my property (emails).

Hi ,

 

I notice you mentioned they're multiple BigPond email addresses, however if you could I would like to try the following as that error number indicated that it is rejected as the mailbox doesn't exist.

 

Customers can check the status of the mailbox (and the correct email settings) by logging into here: http://www.telstra.com/emailservercheck

 

Have you tried logging into that mailbox via webmail?

The recipient is not our account.

We are sending to multiple people.

I have confirmed the address is correct and the mailbox can recieve email.

Can't receive or send emails

Cannot send or receive emails on BigPond today whilst overseas today. Getting error message incorrect mail setting SMTP etc.

any suggestions to rectify?

Error message password, etc incorrect while trying to send receive mail overseas. Settings in email preferences all correct. Need help from Support or community.

I'm getting notification that my bigpond email account has been compromised and my password doesn't work, haven't been able to send or receive 1 email in 5 days. Glad I'm not a business and have to rely on this....

I notice that all of the previous complaints were from last year, 2016, what's going on Telstra?? And there's no point in calling them!!

I've been using webmail since it switched over last year and occasionally emails refuse to open, instead showing the following error message: An error occurred while loading message body. Please try again later.

 

This has been happening all day today. I'm hoping somebody will be able to give advice.

Can some please tell me why I can not send or receive emails in Outlook. This has only happened today. Outlook keeps asking me for password provide dby my internet provider (Telstra)

I have delete the existing email account set up and reentered but still the same problem adn trying to get on to telstra via phone is like pulling hens teeth. Help

im currently having same issue, been back and forth on the phone all day spent hours on hold and keep being redirected to wrong departments. Smiley Frustrated

If you see the above image in top left corner then  you are on  the Telstra server

If the you see the above image in top left corner then  you are on  the Bigpond server

 

 

Check account setting in outlook mail account matches the settings in the link below.

I can't login to the old email page. In fact it logs in and then says there is a system error. 

 

Last week i renewed my computer. The computer shop uploaded all my passwords etc for my email account. Now I seem to be getting emails from over a year ago uploading onto my computer. It is chewing away at my data and I can't get it to stop downloading them. The same on my iPhone and iPad email links. 

 

I rang the computer shop and they said it was a BigPond issue and nothing they had done. It seems too much of a coincidence. 

 

Argghhhhhh what do I do?
